We usually build a snowman but his year it was a snow-penguin.

The Canadian geese return every year knowing that they will be fed by Katie.

A natural sledding slope sits outside our front door.  Hiking to the top is hard work.

Coming down is a lot faster, and more fun, than going up.

We stopped in at North Star so Katie could have a shot at bungee jumping.  She enjoyed it as much in 2008 as she did in 2007.

This was Johnny's first experience with bungee jumping.  He grinned from ear to ear for the full five minutes.

Margaret and  Mark get ready to attack the slopes at Diamond Peak after depositing Katie and Johnny in ski school.

Katie moved to the top of her class in ski school.

Not sure if it was skiing or champagne, but the Solomons boys saw the New Year come in in an unusual way.
