The music on this and the other Africa pages
is by Johhny Clegg and his band Savuka. Clegg, called the White Zulu, is
an important figure in African music history. He formed the first racially
mixed band in South Africa. The band's success was a thorn in the side of
the Apartheid government. On subsequent pages, the music stops when you
enlarge a photo and restarts when you go back. This can be annoying so I
have provided a button to disable the sound track. It may take a few
seconds for the music to start.
